Do we need to provide you a key to our house?
We will work with you to set up a KB K9 FIT lockbox (*free of charge) in a secure location on your property. That way, your key never leaves your property and is always safe and protected. If you prefer not to use our lockbox, we require two copies of your house keys when we come for the Warm-UP Visit. We will keep these keys in a secure place when not in use.
*Client qualifies for a free KB K9 FIT lockbox if they sign up for a minimum of three visits.
What is the cancellation policy?
Life happens and we understand that there may be unforeseen circumstances that might cause you to cancel a visit. We do not charge for cancellations, unless we are in the car and on our way to your appointment.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, and we can keep a credit card or bank authorization on file, or we can take credit card payments over the phone. We also offer credit card payment through our secure online client portal or our mobile app. We are happy to set up our clients with a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or per-visit payment plan. Our goal is to make our payment options flexible to meet your specific needs.
Do you give refunds?
We always offer 100% refunds on any pre-paid Fitness Sessions that you haven't used, no matter what your reason is for cancelling services.
Where does KB's K9 Fitness walk the dogs?
Our Fitness Coaches walk your dog in your neighborhood. Unless your dog is signed up for the Ruff and Rugged Program and then we would go to the park nearest your house (or to the park of your choosing in the RVA-area).
Do you provide solo or group walks?
We do NOT offer pack walks. We want to give your dog the one on one attention that they deserve. Exceptions are made for dogs from the same household. As a general practice, for the safety of your dog, we avoid interaction with other dogs and people while your dog is under our care.
Will our dog be off-leash at all?
Our Fitness Coaches use a safe hands-free leash system for all of our Fitness Sessions. We ask that you provide a proper fitting collar or harness. For the safety of your dog, they will never be off-leash during sessions (unless they are in the swimming pool and/or in case of an emergency).
Is KB's K9 Fitness licensed, insured and bonded?
Yes, we are licensed with the State of Virginia. We are bonded and insured with Business Insurance of the Carolinas. All of our employees have background checks through Acutraq. We take our role very serious and treat your dog and your home as if they are our own. Your keys, home security codes, and personal property are always kept safe and secure, and your dog is always protected while in our care.
Do you provide discounts to Military Veterans?
Yes! We are proud to offer a 10% discount to all Military Veterans - thank you for your service!!
Do you charge extra for a second dog from the same household?
Yes, we charge $2.00 for a second dog from the same household. Generally, for safety reasons, we will only walk two dogs from the same household at one time. If you have more than two dogs in your home, we are willing to discuss this on a case by case basis.
Do you have any breed restrictions?
We do not have any breed restrictions and we feel like every dog deserves a chance. However, we reserve the right to refuse services if the dog may present a threat to ourselves, other people, or other animals while on a leash.
